I was at Greenfield Village, and the Edison Power House was beautiful. Is anyone producing something like this?

I could see putting a model stationary steam engine inside (running from a geared down 12vdc motor) spinning away.

Nice. Andre has the talent to whip up an excellent model kit of this.
One of the reasons that building looks so attractive to us modelers is that it is itself kind of a model. It was built in 1944 at Greenfield Village, and is a roughly 1/4 scale freelance interpretation of an 1866 Edison power plant that was located in Detroit.
