I own the prr brass caboose that came with the first lionel scale s2 back in 1990 (6-51702). The caboose has a circuit board which supplies constant voltage to the lights, leds, and smoke unit. Does anyone know if it Will work ok on a command layout? I did not know if the board would be able to handle a constant 18 volts. If not i assume an err board could replace the existing board.

Looks like a switcher, so I can't see why it wouldn't function on 18 volts without issue.
