Do any of you have lighting on the bottom side of your elevated section platforms?
If so what did you do and use to do it?

Yes, I do. I used fluorescent lights from Miller Engineering. Unfortunately, they interfere with Legacy signal when the trains are moving very slowly. I'm switching out to LED lights.

I used a reel of LEDs to illuminate the under side of my layout which I use for storage. They are 5 meters long and have stick backing. Just stuck them to the bottom of my layout top and added 12 vdc power and a switch at the entrance.
These can also be cut into smaller sections (usually 3 LEDs per section) and used in smaller places where ever you want them.
The reels are available on ebay from many sellers and are quite inexpensive. Many of the sellers also offer power supplies as well. Many of the Asian suppliers offer free shipping, but it usually takes 2-3 weeks to get their items.
The LED reels are easy to work with and compact. Yes- they can be cut is short pieces (usually 2-3 LED's), and placed where you want them. They come with marks where they can be cut.
