Are you just trying to get an overview? Or are you asking how to hook it up and get started?

If you're looking for how to hook up the current Lionel command control system (which is Legacy), I would actually recommend you dive in head first because it's easy as can be. The manual covers it with pictures. The Legacy control system can control your TMCC locomotives. TMCC is actually outdated and Legacy is what you go with now. TMCC locos are still great though!

You need a base for the Cab2 remote, the Cab2 remote, and a compatible locomotive. Then you just add a power supply that can put out 18/19V. Set the voltage at 18V and follow the instructions in the Legacy manual or locomotive manual to give the locomotive an ID number. @David Minarik promised me about ten times that I could handle it when I bought my system off him and he was absolutely correct. I had my doubts but he said not to sweat it; I would be up and running the same day I bought it and that's exactly what happened. I felt silly afterwards because it was simple. That's alright though. You gotta start somewhere!

If you are trying to find out something else, you'll need to just ask more detailed questions. Happy to help! Just need to know how to help
