Hi to all

We are making an engine shed and we want to add the foundation witht the option to insert the rail.

base on the current specification the gauge will be 0.833"

are the rest of the dimensions good enough for the rails? (see picture)

thank you for your information.

Andre.

Andre,

Just a suggestion, but please put "S scale" in the thread title.  I came to this from the Recent Posts list and scratched my head trying to figure out why you were using .084" gauge when I thought O Gauge was either 1.25" or, for pure prototype people, 1.18".  I finally figured it out that you were asking this question in the S Gauge forum (silly me).  And, sorry, but I don't know the answer.

Others may have better information but I believe that for S gauge tracks the distance between the rails (gauge) is 7/8 inch or 0.875".

Most rail is 1/8 inch wide.

Your drawing appears to show a center-to-center rail measurement.

If so, you would need to add 0.125 (rail width) to 0.875 (gauge) to get a measurement of 1.0 inches center -to -center on S gauge track.

i will make the changes and post it.

thanks again

Looks really nice Andre! I especially like the windows and skylight. Will the roof have an exhaust stack?

Mark

No,

I work in a warehouse, long time ago, where was possible to open the skylight for ventilation. I though in the same concept here. but add a pair of smokestack (square) is not so difficult. I am trying to keep the price low as possible.
