I have the same issue with my Gargraves 042 switches. There is a gap in the middle rail on the switch so when the pick up roller hits the gap, it kills the power and the engine stops. This happens with my MTH RS 27 so I run it a bit faster over the switch and the momentum carries it over, but the power loss is noticeable. However, when I run my postwar F3 over the same switches it runs fine. This is probably because the RS 27 has 1 pick up roller per wheel set and the F3 has 2 pick up rollers per wheel set.
I'm open for suggestions.
Thanks.
