I am installing a AC Commander in a post war GG1 2360 with coil couplers . The plug on the board has two prongs (ground and hot). Since the coil coupler on the locomotive is grounded to the frame I only need the hot lead from the AC Commander board. I thought of just grounding one wire and attaching the other to the hot lead of the coupler where the sliding shoe used to connect to it, but don't want to do anything which may short the board. How have others done this.
