Can the ERR sound converter be used on a MTH PS1 steamer? Just for example, let's say I'd use a MTH 20-3034-1 CNW E4 Hudson, I'm looking at the photo of the sound converter and it looks like it'll work. I just want to be sure before I buy anything. I really like the PS1 sounds in that engine, my uncle has one and I really like it.

Not really.  While it sounds like a good idea, there's a problem.  The chuffing of PS/1 steam is determined by the motor voltage.  Since you won't have any load on the motor outputs, the locomotive will be running at full speed chuff all the time.  The PS/1 sounds are integrated into the motor drive board and the two work together.

This is the same reason that the Sound Converter won't work for a conventional diesel sound board with prime mover sounds.  The prime mover would be at notch-8 all the time.
