It's vacation season, and I think that he's been pretty busy recently based on his participation in the last SGMA meeting. 

Joe does incredible work, a man after my own heart, ….he does not do rattle can restorations!…he uses automotive grade urethane finishes for a better than factory new finish!….I’ve seen his work first hand,…gorgeous stuff,…as mentioned above, keep trying to reach him,…he might be out and about beings it’s summertime,..

Out of curiosity,  are you looking for a restoration,  or a scratch project?

I am not ever doing another custom locomotive for someone else - sucks the joy out of my hobby.  But you do know this stuff is not cheap?  My last one was $3000, time and materials, and rattle-can finish.  I don't spray urethanes on anything, ever.
