Hello,

I had found a Kraus-Fandor glass dome station.  The condition was really bad, very rusty.

After rusting almost nothing was left of the roof profiles, they were completely rusted.

So I had made them new.

At the moment I'm still waiting for spare parts, so I built another glass dome.

From the same source as the glass dome was also a large scrap-rideable pedestrian crossing. For the part no restoration was worthwhile, bent everywhere, partially rusted on the sockets and various welded connections demolished. However, the railing was still very good. This has the same punching as the glass dome.

After derusting and disassembling, there was only one metal puzzle left over.

The parts then got new frames

For the friends of my work here are the details to bend such a frame.

First turn to 90 °. Then bend over a wire and finally press down with a brass wire

The glass dome of Fandor has 4 panes and is 12 cm wide, I have enlarged the whole to 6 panes and 17 cm wide.

Roof profiles with 2 x 2.5 mm

Here original and replica in direct comparison. But this is not a tinkering in between, it was over 20 working hours.
