Who has a good idea for a 10 by 8 foot or a little smaller Fastrack layout to run 2 or 3 trains at once. Im having trouble coming up with one so I thought I would ask the forum. I don't run anything big so O-36 is good but larger curves would work too. Thanks

Our Fastrack layout is 6 by 11 ft. The outer line is O-60 with a O-48 siding and blocked to park 3 trains. The inner loop is O-48 with a 2 lane yard, also blocked to park 2 trains. The upper that is O-36 and has 3 sidings also blocked to park 3 trains. Here is older video of the layout. I will try and to take a over view of the layout today. Nick
Lionel has a Fast Track book that is full of great information and track plan ideas. If you can get one, spend the money because there are items available that you may not even know about.
Good luck and have fun.

I really like your layout. I would like to see the overhead
Here are some over view shots that I just took. Sorry I do not have rtr to draw up a plan. When we were designing our plan we placed blue tape on the floor to mimic the size of table that we could have. After that we just started to put Fastrack together till we found something we like. I could put the plan on paper then scan to the computer if interested. The last photo shows the outer line that is O-60 far right. The 2 turnouts are O-48. The inner line is O-48 and you can see the two yard lines. The upper lines are O-36 all around. The table sits on casters so we can move it to get into the big tunnel. We run conventional and can run a total of 3 engines and have 7 others parked on the block sections. Hope this helps. Nick

Liam If you are thinking of Fastrack I would urge you to get this book. We used it for a lot of ideas and how to set up our block sections and wiring. It is worth the $16 to $20 to buy. Your local library may have it too. Good luck. Nick
I have that FasTrack book. Email me if you want it.
Yeah I think I will check out that book. mongo email sent. Track plans are still welcome though

My layout is 8x8' and uses Fastrack. I can run 4 trains total but only two at a time. Think of two concentric ovals each with a siding or passing track long enough to hold a train. The two Lionel engines go first with the MTH engines in neutral. On stop/start, the MTH engines go forward while the Lionel engines idle. I use the auto-derail feature of the remote Fastrack switches to move the trains round without going to the switch machine control locations. My curves are 0-36 and 0-48. It works well enough for a small space.
What a great little layout. I would love to see a track plan if you draw one up.
