Heads up (you may well already know this), my LHS (Legacy Station) told me that Lionel is no longer producing just the remote switches (e.g. the ones that have a remote, but cannot be controlled via TMCC). According to the gentleman with whom I spoke, it's either fully manual or fully remote/command.

Also, speaking from recent experience, if you're trying to program or throw a Command Control switch via TMCC, make sure you have a lighted car or accessory connected to the track - it helps reduce RF "noise" immensely and results in much more reliable communication. Again, apologies if you're already aware (it's well documented in these forums), but I figured I'd post it here to help save others the frustration I experienced this past weekend :-) )

MATTRAIN,

Good point about the 1st generation FT Switches, if you want some of them, better get them fast, before they are all sold out.  There we be no more FT manual type switches, everything form this point on will be made FTCC.  FTCC Switches do come with manual controllers for those guys who do not run TMCC or Legacy.  In fact I use the manual controllers with the lighted numbers Track Side for quick identification of each FTCC Switch Number.  Myself I love the FTCC Switches, controlled from my Legacy Cab2, in reality it's a big reason I added Legacy to my DCS layouts.  Low voltage wireless remote control switches, plug and play, are serious Lionel engineering.  As many as 99 of them controlled directly from either the Legacy Cab2 or the TMCC Cab1L.  High grade technology no doubt about it.
