The base of this one sure looks like Fergusson. Was this a production piece? the electrical tape looks period. EBay description says it takes a 6C bulb? They must mean 6 candlepower.

All of the 12 different accessories that Fergusson made were low-cost items that could be used on "mechanical" (wind-up, non-electrified) train set ups. None of the signals or lights were electrified. The lamp post was a "dummy", with a white-painted die-cast bulb under the reflector. The poles were solid, not made for wires to be run up them.
Of course, there are always the tinkerers among us who delight in modifying tinplate... looks like someone did a modification which at one time brought Edison's wonderful invention to your Fergusson lamp pole!

C6 is a medium sized 'Christmas' type bulb - some common bulb sizes
I think this link shows a plug in style bulb, but they are available in screw type as well. My wife collects these things, so I am not the expert here, but she has showed me tons of different bulbs.
