I have been put my new engines on the track for test runs. I have both road numbers in the Ferromex scheme. #4617 works great, Rd # 4626 works great until you blow the horn, then all sounds cease after blowing horn. Remove from track or reset power, engine works until horn is blown, then no sounds. lights and motors work fine, just no sound after blowing horn. Wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

That's quite strange. Prior to blowing the horn, can you hear all of the following
bell
prime mover
dialog (hit the numeric 2 key)
...and then when you hit the horn, you hear none of the above?
Also, if after blowing the horn, you hit the reset (or numeric zero), do the sounds return?
Correct. Everything works fine until the horn blows, then all sounds quick working. Shut down from keypad and restart from keypad, all will resume until horn is blown again.
I included video of the symptom. I start it , engage bell, Crewtalk and Tower, addrees the horn and sound shuts down. I then shut engine down via remote and start it back via remote, engage horn and silence.
Prime mover and lights all work fine at all times.

I would send that back .. That has to be something very wrong like a railsounds board...
A better description I think would be, sound shuts down when quilling the horn and returns upon reset.
Just spoke to Lionel and am sending back, the CS said she hasn't heard of this issue before. I also purchased the UP ES44s, but haven't tested them yet.
My UP works great.

Tested both of UP ES44s and they work fine as well as the other Ferromex. So 1 out of 4 isn't bad I guess. The SP Daylight and VL Big Boy were fine, one exception on the BB, the cover on the controls has a defect.
I shipped it out today, I will keep the post updated to the issue, in case anyone else has an issue.
Mike Reagan called me when he received the engine to verify my issues. He could not get it to duplicate the issue I was having. I played the video of the issue and he still could not duplicate it. So between Texas and NC, it fixed itself. I received it back Monday and tested it out, it works just fine. I guess the Gremlins found their way out.
I would take a WAG and say he pulled the plugs from ythe RS Lite board and plugged them back in.
I thought it was odd that FedEx ground gremlins repaired it in transit.
Any chance you still have these and looking to sell?
I do still have them, but not looking to sell, sorry
