Been on the hunt for this engine for many years, produced many years ago it was part of the Lionel fantasy livery or what if, just arrived tested fine here are some un-boxed photos. More to follow on layout latter.

I for one have always thought that Lionel’s NS What If paint schemes were better than the actual NS Heritage paint schemes. I have both the Brunswick 5 Stripe and the Tuscan 5 Stripe PRR schemes and would not sell them off for any reason.
Don’t get me wrong the actual NS Heritage schemes are great ( I have the Virginian) but NS could have saved a few bucks and just copied Lionel”s what if schemes.

Sweet- I catch the NS prototype occasionally on Virtual railfan.
Interesting as METRA just purchased reconditioned EMD SD70s to replace F40PHs in commuter service. Just shows there is a prototype for everything.
