Hi Everyone,

I've been around but not much work done lately. Anywho, I have recently posted my first YouTube video working with forum sponsor and layout builder Dave Bennett of Train Installations. This should be a fun series and addition to the channel.

Take a look...

Outstanding Dave! I really like the concept of what you'd like to do. I enjoy the tour of the current layout, it's a beauty. In addition to your description of the processes, it's great to see you demonstrating the actual task, like when you carved the foam with the drill. Things like that are tremendously helpful to lots of folks, myself included. I look forward to the additional layouts that you will show us. Well done as always.

texgeekboy-They'll be coming 'round the mountain, lol.

Andy-Thank you. I had to throw that demo in since the majority of what I was doing surrounded carving rock. There are definitely more coming.

Patrick-Thank you. It took several takes to bring it down a bit. I can really get carried away.

Dwayne B-Due to the magic of video you will be able to see the "end" relatively soon. I definitely have more of these videos coming.

Ron-Thank you kindly sir.

Rick-Thanks a lot! Were  you able to watch the first video? I squeezed a short demonstration in that one. I have another video coming out in future where I will show a bit more of the process.

Dylan-Much appreciated. The layout is approximately 20' X 20' (main room) and 10' X 14' (smaller room extension) with 3 levels. Grades are about 2%. Mostly Gargraves track(Ross switches) with some 027 Lionel on spurs and trolley line. There is a 3 track yard plus 3 sidings for cabeese and maintenance of way equipment. There are four passing sidings on the layout, two of them being in the rail yard. Lastly, the layout is set up to run 4 trains at once or one across the entire layout, depending on how the turnouts are thrown.
