Scratch Built Freight Wood Box Representing Pratt & Whitney Cargo
Inspired by this film. New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad. 1942 - "A Great Railroad at Work - American Trains".
I may need to redo the signage and make it wider. Your thoughts are welcome so please comment.
I'm awaiting for a response from Weaver Model to see if they'll do the flat car road number for me before they close.

Really nice load. Thanks for posting.
Looks good.
Thanks guys, I decided to day to redo the Pratt & Whitney banner.
I should post new finish look tomorrow.
It looks pretty cool on any flat car.
Im still going to attempt to get the same road number as the 1942 photo.

Here's the new modified version with new larger banner. Still needs some more finishing touches though.

Minor point but with all the great work you're putting into this to duplicate a historical photo Whitney should have a Y at the end not a T.
My father worked for years doing subcontract work on parts for their jet engines in a shop on LI.

Gee, it would be great to see some historical P&W photo's of shipments to be sent to customers ready for transport via railroad. There's not that much on the internet unless you see their production lines films on YouTube during WWII. Again its very limited. I guess all these film footage would have been censored by the US Gov't at the time.
Here is another one I'd like to do. See attached Photo.
