Anyone know how to get a hold of the owner of "Craft Cradle"?

I had wanted to purchase the two different size cradles for O scale models from this company.

However, two days ago their website (www.craftcradle.com) went off line and their e-mail address failed also so I am guessing they closed up shop.

Some dealers supposedly carry their product so was hoping to still find the two sizes (12" x 3" and 24" x 3") for purchase.

This company was apparently based in Michigan and sold their products at Michigan Train Shows and select hobby shops in Michigan.

Any suggestions in how to reach them or a hobby shop that still may have their product would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Do you know if they will be at York? and if so, what Hall?

Sorry, I don't know if he goes to York or not? He had a train store here in town for many years, but sold it and retired a few years ago. I think he now just does this on the side for something to do. He also has a few other items for sale. They are all good quality items.

We've (LHS) sold a bunch of these in the 3 different scales....

Cradle Link

The O and HO are always within reach at my own workbench.

Now that you mention it, the O gauge one is getting a tad 'snaggy' looking....might have to get an equity loan () for a gnu one.

FWIW, always....

BTW, Bowser products....available direct, through Walthers, Horizon Distributors, etc..

Hmmmmm.....High temperature today only 46 degrees?????  Time to start watching the York forecasts!!

I use this one as well, it's hung in there for quite a spell.  They do eventually get a bit beat up, at some point I'll probably get another.

Those are very nice. My problem is I can't find mine since we moved last fall, been looking for at least a few weeks now...not in any of the plastic containers it should have been in. I may also have to get another one.

For those that may have an interest, I found a better alternative through another manufacturer.  The website is www.kissmethodinc.com.

I have a Bowser foam cradle and frankly don't find it too helpful.  The sides are only 1-1/2 inches tall and so not tall enough nor stable enough to hold heavy locomotives well.

The craft cradle product (no longer in business?) was "V" shaped.  This allows one to work on a car or locomotive either right side up or on its roof which is much more versatile.  Plus, for those of us with Pennsy locos, cabin cars and certain passenger cars, you can't set them on their roof without damaging the trainphone antenna.

So I felt the V-shaped foam cradle was far more superior for my needs.

I contacted KISSMethodInc and asked about making a larger cradle for O scale models and they decided to fulfill my request.  Their price with s/h for the larger O scale cradle beats any source for the Bowser cradle.  They are 12-inches long so I am buying two and will simply abut them together for longer locos, cars, etc.

I know I could make my own but for $16 why bother.  The KISSMethodInc product does the job just fine.

They will be updating their website soon to add this new product.  Hope others will benefit from this news as well.
