Follow This Topic: What does this do?

Crickets?  Doesn't anyone use the "Follow this topic" link?

Hey Ron, yes I use it.  If you have your email set up correctly, then if you click "Follow This Topic" you will get email notifications every time there is a new post in that thread/topic.  Its nice if you find a helpful thread and want to be notified of updates.

In my settings, "All Replies To My Comment Wall Topics" was not checked.  I checked it.  Will see if that works.

When you reply to a topic (I'd screen shot it for you, but its hard for me to screen shot on my mac, if I was at work, it'd be easier) you'll see two sets of text in bold below.  Include Signature and Follow This Topic: Notify me...   With the Follow This Topic: Notify me..... checked, you will get an email any time there is a reply to that topic.  It works the same way with the Follow This Topic to the right (this is actually selected by default if you reply to a topic and do not uncheck the Follow This Topic box).  

When replying to a post that you just want to comment on, say tell someone "good job" but do not want to be notified every time someone responds, in your reply, uncheck that box.  If you uncheck it, you will not receive emails every time someone responds.  You can uncheck the Follow This Topic any time you'd like to stop receiving emails about that particular thread

In your settings, you can have an email sent to you any time there is a new topic posted in whichever forum.  Say you'd like to know when someone posted a new for sale item, in your settings, you can have an email sent to you any time a new item is posted for sale.

Well no emails yet.  I do leave the boxes cheched that you describe. See screen shot below.

I think you need to change your settings in your profile, in addition to checking the box on the topic. I know I turned mine off,  because my mailbox was getting flooded. Now the only ones I get are when somebody "likes" something I said.

Thanks for the help... You may have provided what I need.  On the Top Right my box was checked that says, "Suspend all email notifications".  I unchecked that box.  I assume the flood will now begin.
