What is supposed to happen when you click on the little buttons labeled something like "follow this topic" or "follow this forum?"
I have clicked on a couple of them...the little button fills in...but, nothing ever seems to happen beyond that??
I am sure there is a simple answer...probably revolving around something I am not doing or doing correctly...but, I'd surely like to know what it is.

To make it simple, you'll want to check your email more often. any time a new reply is made on the topic that is being 'followed', you'll get an email with that post. There are a number of settings that will effect this, and what sort of emails you get, in your profile, but that's the nuts and bolts of it. Also, this will go to the primary email of your account, which may not be the same as the one you have displayed on your public profile, if you have one there.
