Too bad that they decided to make it in 1:43, since they already make lots of nice models in 1:50.

True, but my experience is that the older pick-ups usually run a little smaller, so the 1:43 ends up being pretty close, especially if strategically placed on the layout, i.e., "forced perspective".

Yeah, ok with me too, Mark. It's not often I come across already weathered cars or trucks in the time period I model, so I can overlook a little in size.

I think the shrimp boat sequence was the best part of the movie!  And into the dock it goes!!!

I grew up in Mobile, not far from Bayou La Batre, and let me tell you.. you can do a lot with shrimp....

A 1/43 truck would be larger than a 1/50 truck. To maintain the correct scale, even if the truck is smaller in real life, the 1/50 is the better choice.
