Are Forum member profiles (and email addresses therein) available to anyone browsing the forum? Or is access to profiles limited to forum members?

Pat, I know this is an old post, but I want to add to it.
You can control what profile details other people can see. All of the information in your profile is private, meaning that only forum moderators can see that information. The only fields in your forum profile that can be seen by the public are::
- Display Email (Needed if your are selling on the "For Sale or Trade" forum)
- Homepage URL (If you have a web site and want to share it, put the address here)
- Interests (your choice here)
These three fields can be publicly viewed and the information in those fields is available to anyone. However, the Display Email address is hidden behind the forum software and cannot be "scalped" by email address harvesting program that scammers use. So it is safe there. You also have the option of leaving them all blank, if you wish.
You should NEVER put an email address within the text in a post! This is called "open text" on the internet and an email address posted that way COULD be harvested by scammers.
