I thought we'd take a break from wants, desires, speculation and what might be and just run some pictures.  So, seeing that February and freight cars both begin with "F," it seemed like as good as a reason as any.

So, here goes...

An iconic paint scheme in any scale:

AM PD Box BAR 102110r

Pigs on the run:

Piggybackers

A personal favorite ever since I saw one in a Walthers O Scale catalog in the 1970's:

Reefer OREX 90104

A string of hoppers lettered for one of the scale's revered elders:

Spiral Hill 1

And finally, not all tank cars were black:

Tank SHPX 9565

Well, in response to your cards and letters...  These have been posted before, but may be gone since I dropped Photobucket.

I actually have only one O27 conversion, the converted Scout type boxcar:

The rest were Flyer conversions...

These were all done in my "early days" in the late 1980's.  The only S Scale manufacturer back then was American Models, SHS, Pacific Rail Shops(now DesPlaines Hobbies/SSA) and what ever old Kinsman and other 50's-60's kits you could find.

It may sometimes not look like it, but S has come a long way in the last 25 years or so.
