One of our train friends, Jack, had an operating session last night at his house.  He declared that his layout is now finished.  Here are a few pictures that I took of his layout with my cell phone before we really got going.  Jack has scratch-built many of his buildings and all of his trees.  He runs postwar Lionel in conventional mode and has a lot of working Lionel accessories.  He enjoys having his friends bring engines and cars to run on his layout.

One of my favorite parts about living in the Chicago area for many years was the many train friends made. Friday night run sessions are a regular occurrence. I got to enjoy many wonderful layouts during the years I lived there.

Art is the catalyst of these activities. If you have never had the pleasure to meet him, you need to go out of your way and do just do it. A visit to his wonderful layout should also be on your list.

Brian - When I look at pictures of layout sessions and see your picture, I am reminded of how much we miss you.  You are always positive, enthusiastic, and enhance everyone's enjoyment of our train related activities.

Frank - You have been around too long without getting more involved with our group.  I think you said you hoped to join us for breakfast next month at DuPage?  We need to get you over to one of our next sessions.
