Loading new sound files is relatively easy - curious to know if anyone has a favorite or funny/personal favorite sound file on their engine that could be fun to load into one of my engines? Doesn’t matter - diesel or steam.
Hm. I have the McDonalds F40. Instead of "Baggage to the right," it says things like "Let's get those fried loaded!"
Also-- I can't remember whether it was my 20-2130-1 Reading T-1, or the 20-2373-1 Reading GP40. But on one of these, when you press the STW soft key ("Sound Train Wreck"), there's a loud crash followed by some train crew dialogue. One guy says, "I think I swallowed a lump of coal!"
This one is not going to be loadable because it's a ProtoSound (PS1) era sound set, created by QSI, which did ProtoSound for MTH and this for Williams. Follow this link:
Holley Beach Depot in Wildwood, NJ had a custom run AS-616 (30-20633-1) done a few years back. The PFA file has an amusing conversation between engineer and conductor about going to the beach during a layover.
There's a PS3 diesel file out there for at least U30Cs, which has a dialogue sequence about the engineer "having lasagna for dinner tonight", which is a rather amusing exchange.
