Any chance in adding one? At present, I'm having to go to other online forums to get my fix.
It might not get a lot of action, but at least it would lump any posts in one place.
How much trouble would it involve to have it added?

I thought this Forum was "O" Gauge not "G". But, there is also "S" gauge on here so why not "G"??
Contact the guys at Garden Railways and ask them to finance a forum. S doesn't belong here either! What's next, Z, 00, Sn3, Sn30, ,etc,. etc.

I would bet a lot of people here work with more than one gauge, myself included. I would not mind being able to easily check in on discussion of G gauge issues when I am reading O gauge comments.
I always liked mylargescale.com

You could also then make a case that Real Trains doesn't belong here, either. After all, we're talking about toy trains.
I don't remember who's idea it was for the S Scale forum, but I'm glad it's here. As far as I can tell, the S Scale forum isn't crowding anyone else out of any server space. Nobody's forcing anyone to read the S Scale forum.
And any Sn3, Sn30 or SnWhatever is welcome on the S Scale forum.

I'm a big G scale enthusiast also. I've been to the MyLargeScale forum several times...didn't care for it as much as this forum for some reason. Guess I'm just used to this one. Like to see G scale here too but if not...no big deal to me. Just be nice to have both my favorites in one place.

From a couple of searches I've done, there's been a number of posts about G scale/gauge here on OGR, I just thought it would be nice to have them all in one place and establish it's own separate sub-forum.
If size/gauge is seen to be a problem, then S and narrow gauge don't belong here either. How bout "Standard gauge"?
Being the 2 biggest O scale makers ALSO make G/1 gauge stuff, why not?
I will admit to having multiple gauges - O, Large Scale, my original American Flyer set, some nice HO, On3, and a little Marklin 3 rail HO. I too would enjoy being able to read about large scale trains from folks I know and trust (to some degree )
I just had a brainfart. Why not lump G scale in with the 2 rail forum? After all, it is 2 rail.
Rick
I would love to see a large scale section added. As was mentioned above, many of us are active in both O scale and large scale.
Somehow I don't see this idea resting well with the management, and I understand why, but IMO the idea has merit and is worthy of discussion.

Being relatively new to this forum, I always assumed that the reason S scale was included here was because of it's "spiritual" relationship with O, via tinplate, American Flyer, etc.
Just a thought.
Fred
Having a G Gauge Forum here would be great!

Rick, Most of the posts I saw were in the 2-rail section, and some hard to determine if they were G or not. Engineer Joe has posted several times on his G scale endeavors. I see him and DennisB on the other forums.
I'm having a blast running my G 4-6-0 and would like to share thoughts with folks, HERE!
I wouldn't mind having a G scale section here on the Forum. I have a small amount of G equipment and a small loop outside around the pond.
I think this should be o-gauge only. Its bad enough that we have S, On30, and Standard gauge posting to this forum.
I would love to share and talk G here. OGR people are great and this is one of the best forums out there.
Think about it ! Standard Gauge posts are found in the, Tinplate Forum. I'm sure there are those who object to the, Tinplate Forum as well.
I don't see a G-Scale Forum happening. Granted there are those of us who enjoy it as well. I cannot see enough users who would make it worth while.
God Bless,
"Pappy"
Since I am active in multiple scales and enjoy participating in threads when someone asks about HO or N, I once posted an inquiry regarding the possibility of a forum for discussion of scales other than O. Rich was kind enough to take time to provide an explanation as to why he would be reluctant to expand the site in this regard. Rich's response was all quite logical and acceptable to me. Here's the link to the thread I started:

I would still like to see something in this regard at some point but totally understand management's position on the matter as it was explained to me.
