I'm into G scale but not really into Christmas trains.  However, I have seen in some stores G scale Christmas trains.  I even saw one set in my local Giant Eagle (grocery store).  It may have been a Polar Express set.  Don't remember. I have seen other G sets with a small steam engine and maybe 2 or 3 cars and a caboose.

Your name is the same as someone I grew up with.

USA trains has a big list of Christmas G scale trains too. Piko has a new set out. LGB was the standard years back. There are several choices, not nearly what's in the smaller scales.

The brands could be recommended, are the same advice I'd give in any scale, some are made cheaply and won't last. Some have so much cheap plastic, they break in your hands. I can't bash any, I'd say do some more research, as you are here, before you waste some cash on a train that won't last.

I wish MTH had made a complete G scale set with track and transformer. I would have said it was "simply the best" out there.
