Yesterday evening, Dec. 30., 2014 a large eucalyptus tree fell on the G&O Garden Railroad taking out both the G and O gauge mainlines. We had a severe wind storm yesterday. The wind storm was preceded by 3 years of drought which probably weakened the tree followed by heavy rain during the last couple of weeks which softened the soil.
The G&O crew will be working hard during the next couple of weeks to get the railroad back in operation. Where is that Lionel wreck crane when you need it?
