I recently completed the assembly of the main body, cuploa, roofs and end platforms of the Bob Garrelt's riveted Erie C100 Series brass caboose kit. Overall, it's a great little kit, it's really more a set of etchings than a kit, and is a real bear to form and put together.

 

Here's a few pics of the completed body assy.

 

 

 

 

There were 50-75 of these "kits" produced, but given the difficulty in building these cars, I have only ever seen three others that were actually built, and only two of those well done (both belonging to Larry DeYoung, the writer of several Morning Sun books on the Erie/EL).

 

I am on the lookout for one or more additional C100 riveted kits (a short run of welded cars were also done) and I am will to pay top dollar. So if any members have one or more of these kits that they'd like to part with, please contact me directly.
