I have a Lionel 18374 GG-1 that when running on 072 track derails the car running behind the engine on curves.  Does anyone else have this problem and how can this be resolved.  The engine coupler doesn't swing free enough on curves and it forces the front truck of the lead car to derail.

It's not a cure-all solution, but just be sure the car coupled to the GG1 has freely swinging couplers.

Some rolling stock couplers are mounted rigidly to the trucks or with very stiff centering springs.  The GG1 can have trouble with these cars. Other cars have couplers with very free swinging action and light centering springs. The GG1 is good with those cars.
