AS JACK BENNY, IN CERTAIN SEASONS OF HIS NBC RADIO SHOW,  STARTED

EACH SHOW WITH "JELL-O" AGAIN (GUESS THE SPONSOR)

ARE SOME OR ONLY CERTAIN ONES METAL?  TO ME, THE DESIGN IS CHARMING.

AVAILABILITY, I'D HAVE NO COMPUNCTION TO SPRAY PAINT ANY OF THEM

WHOSE FINISH IS DISTRESSED.  BUT I'D NOT DO SO TO ONE THAT'S IN

NICE CONDITION. IN ALL CASES IF ANY WERE STRUCTURALLY DAMAGED

THEN I'D NOT  UNDERTAKE SUCH EFFORTS. IS MY ASSUMPTION CORRECT

THAT THEIR LENGTH IS ONE STRAIGHT (10") TRACK?

THERE'S SPACE FOR 3 ON MY NASCENT ON-THE-FLOOR  LAYOUT.

THANKS AGAIN,

SHIFFY

OH YEAH!

BRIDGE "No 1" OF THE '39 CATALOG, OBVIOUSLY MADE WITH  ERECTOR PARTS. I'D HAVE NO OBJECTIONS TO BUYING THE COMPONENTS A LA CARTE & MAKING THE 3 THAT I  WANT (A.K.A. NEED) OR, FINDING 3 ORIGINALS, DOING SOME COSMETIC WORK &  GETTING THE REQUISITE REGULATING AGENCIES TO ISSUE THE USE PERMITS.

BEST,

SHIFFY

Shiffy,

Do you realize using all caps in your posts is yelling?

Art is a friend of mine - he posted this in a different thread:

I'M NOT REPLYING DEFENSIVELY. THANKS FOR POSING YOUR EXCELLENT QUESTION!   IT'S OFTEN EXPRESSED AS "ARE YOU" OR "WHY ARE YOU YELLING @ ME"?. IT'S PARKINSONS.  THE ****ED CONDITION  HAS A WIDE AND PECULIAR RANGE OF NEURAL SYMPTOMS. MINE (NOT REMOTELY THE WORST)  INCLUDES  SHARPLY REDUCED VOCABULARY, READING,

COMPOSING & PROOFREADING  SKILLS.   FOR WHATEVER REASONS, THESE FUNCTIONS, FOR ME, ARE MUCH BETTER IN THE UPPER, THAN IN LOWER OR CASE - CORRECT MODES.

A WORK SEMI - SUCCESSFUL  AROUND IS TO COMPOSE & PROOF IN WORD & THEN COPY & PASTE INTO THE REQUIRED APPLICATION.   FOR MY EGO, IT'S ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THAT I DON'T TRY TO COMPOSE USING A TOOL, THAT WITH A 'TOUCH OF A BUTTON' CAN BE IMMEDIATELY PUBLISHED.

IN THE GOOD OL' DAZE (INTENTIONAL PUN) I'D HAVE BEEN BEEN ABLE TO KNOCK OFF THIS REPLY WITHIN A FEW (5 ?) MINUTES. IT'S BEEN MORE THAN AN 2

HOURS. YOU GUYS & GALS ARE WELL WORTH THE TIME & EFFORT.

MARLENE, MY TRULY BETTER HALF, SUFFERS MUCH MORE FROM THIS THAN I DO.

TO QUOTE OUR DOG FINNEGAN,

WOOF!

I'M HITTIN' THAT VIRTUAL BUTTON NOW...

I just love it when the original poster drops the discussion...

Art has some good days, a greater amount of sorta ok days, and more than enough sh*tty days related to his health - my hunch is that he's not feeling too good at the moment. He has been slowly reentering having some trains to run after having to move from his several story home to a single level arrangement (and dismatle/sell off a nicely done 3 rail layout that focused on running mainly prewar Flyer 3/16ths O gauge trains). He'll probably be back sooner than later.
