Front-yards. Back-yards. Side-yards, etc. Shall we share a look at them here?

I don't have any scenery in place to show yet, but I sure like your horses & buggies.
Frank; your scenery is second to none.
Frank are all of your tenants deadbeats? I don't see a hint of a lawn mower.
Fabulous work as always. It looks totally real.
Got yards?
No, can’t be bothered taking up precious real-estate away from the railroad ROW.
Trains over rule any extra land.

My man is on it, Bill!
He'll be over to do Frank's as soon as he finishes here (unless the "call of the hammock" and the glass of lemonade stops him).
Jim
Thanks Jim. Maybe you could hire him out to the rest of us. It looks like he is thorough.
I expect that Frank is going to have to get a goat for the yard with the barrels.
Great scenes by everyone.
Most of the yards behind the structures on my layout are busy places...
Back behind the Better Brooms house....
Can you suggest a source for the horse and buggies? They're really nice.

There is only one source for those buggies, which you are welcome to have. I have them custom-made for me by: Roy Baker, of BakersRailroadShop. I believe his website is temporarily down, so I will give you his phone number: 1-845-887-4596. You can tell him Frank ofLayout Refinements referred you to him.
He and I have called them his "Amish" or "Mennonite" carriages, as a reference, since Roy went directly into Lancaster, PA to research them when I had first mentioned the idea to him, some years ago, using some vans he carries as inspiration and a starting point. They are entirely metal.
He sells the horses, too, which he imports and hand-paints, including the proper harnesses/rigging, etc.
You may want to note that one model is 2-axeled and one, like this one featured here, is 1-axeled.
He is my sole source for the "Amish-style" figures, too, which he hand-paints and designed himself.

Thanks for the extra pictures and the source for getting one. I may look into one of these when I get a little further along with my layout. They are very nice and from your description, made of metal also. Can't beat that. The horses (and figures) are very nice too and the look like just the proper size for the buggies. Roy is a true craftsman, as are many of the others around here.
We also have some Amish and/or Mennonite communities north of here between us (K.C. area) and the Iowa border. They sell furniture and other things that they make. They are very good craftsmen themselves.
Gotta add this thread to my "saved threads" folder! Stunning work everyone!

And for variety and a few smiles, here are a some more yards - back and side yards...
As the hobby has improved over the years, there is a lot of pre-made material, that makes scenery detail much easier. IMO, Mike CT.
