I have been trying to contact Grand Central LTD (hobby shop in Lincoln Nebraska) for several days with no luck. The 1-800 phone number does not connect. The other phone number goes straight to voice mail and then tells you "voice mail is full" so that you can't leave a message. Has anyone recently been in contact with them or successfully ordered something from them? Thanks.

I've had the same issue for about 2 months now?
Had the same experience several months back and finally got an email stating all the items ordered (that were listed in stock) were out of stock.
Over a year ago I placed an order and all but one of the items was out of stock. I believe what he does is list an item as being in stock if another dealer has it. Maybe his plan was to fulfill orders by trading items with other dealers?
Anyway, I don't bother with them any more.
I have the same issue. I tracked down an email for him but never got a response. Disappointing.
I've had the same experience for several years, sadly this is nothing new. I must assume that he's gone out of business.
This issue pops up from time to time on the forum - multiple threads about it. Last time that I recall was a month or two ago - IIRC, a forum member visited the retail location and he was still in business. Do a search and you might find the thread.
A few years ago, I had a similar experience, so I no longer bother with Grand Central. Finally reached the owner - "oh, I sold that item a few months ago". I don't understand why a legitimate business will bother posting an "inventory" online if they don't intend to keep it updated.
IMO, when considering a vendor, it's worth the effort to search for them on OGR to see what kind of experiences people have had with them.
Guys.....this topic really comes up too often. If you can't get in touch, their phone is full of messages, they don't return calls or emails, and you simply can't get a response....what does that tell you? Topic closed.
