I've gotten posts about how lucky I am to have our grandson like our trains. Two visits ago three engines broke during the session and he went home. Last session I figured I'd get him involved in building since he can't do repairs yet. I decided to have more space to set up some type of town to use the buildings I have bought. I also like to have a Christmas buildings set-up for that season.
So I got him to help me build the expansion. It lasted about an hour. I did not let him handle tools that I felt could hurt him. He quickly grew bored and decided to play his games upstairs. Before he left he told me to have the shelf completed and painted before he returns!
The help idea backfired and now my foreman (grandson) is calling the shots.
I'll say one thing. He left an impression so I did get the shelf built and I even started painting it today. Maybe I need the pushing after all?
