It is a great layout, I will have to make it a point to get another invite and bring a couple of things to run. The day was much too short, we didn't have nearly enough time to play.
Same here, i need to see this layout again. When you enter Pat and Jean's basement
you will smile from ear to ear. Once you start looking around you don't want to leave.
Simply outstanding basement and layout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex
As requested, here's the video we shot from an engineer's eye view.
I've been lucky enough to see Pat's terrific layout firsthand...or at least I thought I had. Your video makes me realize how much I missed! Almost feel as though I'm seeing it for the first time!!
Mike, you may see more videos of the layout. After Pat and Alex saw the video, they both wanted cameras for the same purpose. I think Pat already ordered one. It is a unique perspective to see a layout. It also allows you to see stuff that you don't notice from other vantage points.
I'm with Alex, I already want to go back.
All i can say is, WOW !! just WOW WOW WOW .. Thanks for sharing, GRJ.
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing!

I'm guessing a GoPro? What model if you don't mind my asking?
Actually Mike, the GoPro is much too large, and there are many other better and even much cheaper cameras to do this function.
Here's the one the video was actually shot with.
Mini DVR 808 #16 V3 -Lens D Car Key Chain Micro Camera HD 720P Pocket Camcorder
Here's the one I also brought but didn't use.
Mobius ActionCam Full HD Sports Camera 1080P 30FPS 720P 60FPS Pocket Camcorder
While the GoPro has a lot to recommend it, it's way too big for many applications, and perching it on top of a O-gauge locomotive is one that I deem it too large for. These are very flexible and sized right for the task.
john, I picked one of the mini DVR 808 units today. did you have any issues with it? how long does it last on a charge? I appreciate you pinning the Ebay store on this. I got on and bought it!
I don't have any issues with mine, as you can see it worked well. It'll record at least several hours on a charge, I have never pushed it to the limit. I use a standard Class 6 micro-SD card in it, it works fine.
