This week end in Upper (not lower) Marlboro, there will be a Greenberg train show at the Equestrian Center. Anybody interested besides me?

I might be, but it is a 72 mile trip each way for me. How does this show rank compared to the Timomium Greenberg show?

Don't waste your time. Greenberg shows have gone way downhill over the years. Upper Marlboro used to be a pretty good show...went last year and boy was it LAME! I only really went to assist with the National Capital Tracker display (I belong to the Trackers). The Trackers will NOT be participating this year.

That's a shame. It's about an hour one way and my 10 yo daughter is my wingman. Gonna try it anyway. Saturday most likely.
Wasn't Fredericksburg a Greenberg show? I haven't been to a lot of train shows but it had plenty to see and buy. I was hoping for more displays but they had 2 interactive displays that tickled my wingman.

Come on now, this is the 2nd show after a long hiatus from Southern Maryland. Let's give it a chance. Upper Marlboro is an easy, scenic cruise down route 4 from 495. Much easier to get to than Timonium or gridlock Chantilly, VA. I have encountered several folks that were not aware of the show, so I hope they spend a few dollars on adverisement.
We all are suffering from cabin fever after this winter and I am really looking forward to going.
I go for the outing, see layouts, see things I never thought might be able to be used on a layout, like doll house items, small toys, and figures. Sometimes you even see that AHA item that was in the back of your mind for years.
The Greenberg show in Virginia Beach this past weekend had a number of operating layouts, and the mix of venders was 50/50 O/HO gauge. I thought it was more promising than some other recent shows, so maybe the upbeat will carry over to Upper Marlboro.
