Hafner Copper Sided 1010 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

A while back I picked up a copper sided Hafner 1010. Not real common and especially with smokestack, domes etc instead of the usual streamline cowl. There was no tender with it.

I picked up a rough 1010 red & gray tender, buffed the rust off of the shell and covered it with copper Bare Metal Foil, then reinstalled the original ends after cleaning them up. Turned out pretty decent. As a bonus, the inside of the cross support is recycle Dr Pepper bottle cap litho sheeting.
