Never got the chance Don.  I was stationed in Tuscany (Camp Darby) from 1981 to 1984.  We were going to make the trip but the wife had some medical problems at the time and the doctors didn't want us taking any long trips.

Shaka, dude.  Hang loose.

She'd be overdressed where I'm going.

No trains though.

See ya'll in a month.

We have been here on the islands for the past 15 days.  6 days on the Big Island (what a blast - :-) ) and 9 days on Oahu (4 of which were due to a medical emergency). We are leaving tonight (10 1/2 hour flight).

I have to say that in my travels all over the world, that Hawaiians are some of the nicest folks I have ever met. :-):-):-)

Don, I was also suprised about how easy going folks were while driving.  I drove 700 - 800 miles during our 6 days on the Big Island and didn't hear a single car horn (Not like the Washington D.C. metro area LOL)

We hope to come back in a few years (I retire in 9 years when I reach 62) and check out Maui and a couple of the other islands.

Jim
