I changed two traction tires on this PS2 SD60 last night before going to a train show and had one Lionel engine sounds bite the dust. I also lost a MTH Premire Harley Davidson diesel. It lights and sits there in any state, command or conventional. Not seen by the DCS. Battery tests okay and I checked connectors somI am guessing the PS2 board is gone? It ran perfectly last night on my system. Would not load on the DCS at the show and now is not tecognized by my DCS at home.

If it's still in the remote delete it and try adding again.....Yep use a programming or test track... Having the engine light up is not a good sign... It should remain dark & silent upon powering up the TIU and  track.(watch dog)

Maybe even try the recover engine feature.

You ought to post the model number.

You could try a conventional reset:  No DCS signal on tracks.  Using transformer, press whistle once and bell 5 times, at half-seconf intervals.  If it takes, loco will respond with 2 toots.  If not, try again a few times.  Timing is critical.

Please forgive my terrible mistake in not posting the part number. The number I have is 20-2595-1.  I tried the reset about ten times with no response. I deleted the engine and it would not load again into the DCS. I also tried the engine recovery in DCS with no luck. Timing is bad on this since this is not in my budget for another whole new board.

So, I assume this is now a shelf queen? What are the costs to fix?
