I am going this year, and was looking for some reviews of what to expect, not that I expect a flood of answers ala York but nothing ventured is nothing gained, as they say.

I've been twice. If dancing girls and strong drink are your idea of a convention, this one isn't for you. It's quite low key.
There are usually 2 seminars of some type. Last year, 2 former Marx employees spoke. There is usually a show & tell. Lots of sale tables of Marx' output, not all trains and not all Marx, are arranged in 3 floors of the Marx museum.
The museum itself is fascinating.
There is a very informal dinner at a nice Italian restaurant Friday night for any who care to get together.
For the price it's a lot of fun. Well worth it, in my opinion.
Have fun.
Thanks for the feedback. I honestly wasn't expecting any.
If you posed your question on the Marx Yahoo group you would get a few more responses. A number of the members have been a few times.

I went the last two years and will be attending again this year.
From what I understand, some years are better for train sales than others. Last year there wasn't as many trains for sale but I still picked up a New Marx CP passenger car set and a Crooks set and the year before a boxed M10005 set.
The seminars and the museum are worth the trip in my opinion.
It's also enjoyable talking to fellow Marxists.
I am looking forward to it and I appreciate the feedback. I'll also be on the lookout for more more tin buildings. My sense of this is if I find anything usable it's icing on the cake.
There ya go - I can tell you're a glass-half-full kinda guy!
Have my application (not sent in yet ),but hope to go in June.
Electroliner, this is coming right up. Are you all set to go??
