I buy many old Thomas Yorke building kits for my layout. They are in a league of their own. My Ghost Town in this issue of OGR has a Yorke Hotel at the end of the street. He is now a forum advertiser that does custom work. He is amazing. Can weather and build anything. His work is museum quality, no question about it. First shot is the kit I built and modifies. The house is a custom job. Please if you need something no one else will have, give him a call. Two thumbs up. Don

I love it. The turret is great. The weathering is fantastic. I'm going to save the images to study how it is done.

Nice to know you are there, welcome to the forum
Tom Yorke's modeling is superb, to say the least. He and I have established initial contact regarding having him provide articles--hopefully a good number of them--for the magazine. I am confident our readers would find them extremely inspirational as well as instructive.
Stay tuned!
Good for you Allan my friend. His Disney history is amazing in itself. Don
Don, this is the first I have heard of him which seems odd considering the beautiful work he does.
Yes, hit the Tom Yorke sign on top of this forum when it comes up or just go to this. http://www.tomyorkecustommodelbuilding.blogspot.com/ Don
Paul...Tom has been a member of the forum for quite a while and has displayed his work over the years. He and I talked and decided he would best serve the membership by supporting the forum through a sponsorship and also advertise in the magazine. He informed me a couple of days ago that he would like to write for the magazine so I forwarded his email and referred him to Allan. Allan and Tom will make a great team putting together some outstanding articles for the magazine!!

I'm looking forward to seeing the instructive articles!
I enjoy how-to articles much, much more to seeing any other type of articles in the magazines.

Tom was very well known in my HO scale days. I really wanted a Rubbles Depot kit but it was out of my price range at the time. I did not know he had a Disney past....I am a Disney fan and enjoy reading about the folks behind the magic. Is there someplace to find his Disney history??
I have built a couple of the kits, and have a couple more to build. I will certainly read
with interest any of his comtributions.
I have but two buildings on my layout and one is a Thomas Yorke kit. It was a fun build. I picked it from his other kits because of the shallow depth. I would buy more of his kits if I had the room.

Alan,
I've admired Tom Yorke's work for a number years. While it would not work with my prewar tinplate, I still enjoy looking.
