They sound cool.
CVS had a lot of 1/43 cars a year ago two for $5.99. Wish I had bought more, but was limited by variety. Some CVS still have them, but you have to ask.
I picked them up because most of my locomotives. Are late model steam locomotives and I have just put them next to a railking mohawk.Perfict size to my trains. Now if I could get a few autos from the 1940s.Its funny you know if I was looking for them.I would have never found them and in all places a cvs store.

How do you figure that 1:34 is the perfect size for your trains? Some on this forum say 1:43 cars are too large.
Some of those cars from CVS are smaller than 1/43, i.e., 40s pickups. Some are larger. But, the 1/43, when placed in a parking lot or on a street with a bus don't seem to large. I have a Studebaker and a corvette that fit perfectly, but those were small cars anyway.
I also have a 32-34, Roadster that I picked up an estate sale that is larger than 1/43, but when placed at a distance down the road looks very well. It is a nice auto, and I couldn't resist it.

I took one of the autos and placed beside one of my locomotives.Looks alright to me and keep in mind that its your layout. And your trains plus later on if I find other autos a bit smaller.I pick them up but for now I am happy with what I have.
