My friend was taking down a very old house on his farm and discovered these trains laying in the crawl space under the house.  They have no markings that I can see.  They are cast iron and very heavy.

I was hoping someone could shed some  light on the manufacturer, time frame and if they have any value at all.

It  is amazing what you find under these old cabins and houses.

Thanks,

Ed

Ed, I looked up as much as I could on this. From what I collected on Arcade is that they were making cast iron toys, door hinges and stove parts from 1890's to 1950's when the demand for cast iron toys took a down turn. My guess is the trains were made around 1920's to 1935. There is a historical site Stephenson County Historical Society in Freeport, IL. That is from where Arcade originated. Prior to 1920 the toys consisted of farm animals.
