I have two loops.  Each is powered by a 135 powerhouse plus powermaster.  I run conventional

and this allows me to walk around the layout.  I just noticed today that the dir command on

the controller is not working on one of the loops.  I first thought it was the engine, but I swapped

some different ones in and it does the same for all if they are can engines.  I tried an old pullmore

and it cycled OK so it seems that there is power interrupt of some kind on the loop.  Everything works

OK on the second loop.  I think this narrows it down to the powermaster on the loop being the problem.

BTW, all other commands work OK on this loop.  My question - is this a fixable problem or should I trash the

powermaster?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

OK - this gets more puzzling - I hooked up the suspect powermaster(pm1) to track2 and it works OK.  I hooked up the other powermaster(pm2) to track1 and it works OK.  I also changed the address to five instead of one for the suspect powermaster(pm1) and it worked OK on track2(Changed it back afterwards).  So -  pm1 does not work on track one.  pm1 does work on track two.  pm2 works on track two and also on track one.  I also noticed that if I lift the engine off track1 and replace it while power is on, the electric e-unit does cycle.  So it seems that power is not really getting cut on track one when using pm1.  I was thinking that it could be a track issue, but then why would the pm2 work on track1?  It looks like a solution is just to switch the powermasters, but it would be nice to have a logical reason for doing so.
