Have an MTH RK 2-8-0 (#4155). Headlight is out. Instructions say to remove it, just twist counterclockwise. Tried to do that, bulb will not come out. Looks to me like you need to unsolder entire bulb assembly. Tried to unscrew the bulb and it broke. Remainder (base of bulb) still will not come out. Need some help from someone who can tell me what I need to do.

I just took one out, it was REALLY in there, took quite a bit of force to remove it.
I have tried gripping the bottom of the assembly (below the bulb) and twoisting what is left of where the bulb was and can not get the light to come out. It almost looks like you need to unsolder the darn thing. I can not figure out where to grip the bulb to get it out. Hope you can help me some more.
Maybe try picking the side of remaining bulb (threaded part) with a small screw driver so you can grab a piece with pliers.... If it gets really messed up you can always use a 6 volt gain of wheat bulb and jury rig something
Success!! I finally got the bulb out. It was really stuck. Used some oil to help unstick and that worked. Finally unscrewed bulb. Now, I just need a replacement bulb.
The bulb is available from MTH, CA-0000038. This is a PS/2 locomotive, right?
