Help-Sound issue on Unshrouded J | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am trying to figure out why my sound disappeared in one of my MTH Premier unshrouded J's. I have tried a factory reset. The speaker doesn't look like it has an issue. I don't see anything obvious wrong with the wiring. I can trade it with the tender with my other unshrouded J's and the sound works fine. So it is either the wiring harness, the wires or the speaker. Any recommendations on how I can get this fixed?

It's quite possible the audio amp chip is blown. Check the speaker for proper resistance--- if all the wires are in place, no opens or shorts, then it needs some TLC from George.

Scott, I was going to say the speaker too. Even when they look ok. I had the same issue with my J. G
