Hello everyone, I have been having a little bit of trouble with my cab2 and the cause may very well be I don't have the latest update. I do have the black memory module but that is about it. I'm hoping somebody can loan or sell me a module or trade me one that is updated for mine. I have a very hard time seeing so it is very hard for me to do the update on my own. I will be very happy to send someone my module for the update and pay you for the update on mine. Any help as much appreciated as usual with you guys, Jerry by the way My email is jba435@gmail.com and I live in Michigan.

Well, you need two modules if you're not able to write your own, one for the CAB2 and one for the Legacy base.

If you have your command base linked to a Windows Computer, you can write your own modules using the Legacy System Utility 2.0. Once you can load the modules, you write them one at a time, do the upgrade, then write the other one.

Here is a link to the writable module. Purchased 2 earlier this year. Check site to see if they are still available. These are not original Lionel modules, but are clones that work same as originals.
