Finally I was able to get my 282 gantry crane rewired and currently working as it should. There are four screws missing. According to Greenbergs repair book, They are base screw no 4x3/4 “ BHST “Z”
1)what does BHST “Z” mean?
2) the speed nuts 2532-45 are missing as well.
3) also can I substitute 4x3/4” inch screw and perhaps a bolt to fasten the plate to the tower?
any guidance is appreciated.

BHST is Binding Head Self Tapping. Type Z is the form of the thread. These are available from most Lionel parts dealers. If you go with a nut, you will probably have to go with a slightly longer screw.
