Help with lionel joshua lionel cowen challenger smoke

I took out the smoke unit to do the reagon update and now that it is back together it only smokes out of the rear stack. What did I do wrong installing it back in as it smoked out both stacks when it was together from the factory.

Thanks for any help on this matter or does anyone do custom work to fix it for me.
