Eliot, you will need to put the TMCC command base inline to use your CAB1.  Page 8 of the owners manual (V1.3) shows you how to do this.  Using the CAB1 with this hook up is a great way to operate accessories or additional engines you may want to use.  As Doug mentioned you will need the "Y" cable but I believe you received it with the Legacy unit.  The important thing in hooking up your TMCC base is to make sure that you hook up the ground wire only from the Legacy base to the track.

Ken.

The connection between the Legecy Base and TMCC Command Base has a way of slowing Cab1 responses. The original Command base has to be installed as has been mentioned. Effectively the Cab1 only talks to the originial Command Base, which talks to the Legecy Base, via the "Y" cable connection,  which then talks to the engine via track antenna.  The added link slows the process some.  The Legecy "Y" cable is well marked for the connection and still allows for accessory connection.
